Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Grand Prix on Water (In Colour). DESCRIPTION: The highlight of the speedboat racing season at Ruislip Lido, the London Motor-Boat Racing-Club’s Grand-Prix. Twenty-four boats got away for the start of three hours non-stop racing. On the straight the bigger boats do more than 60 miles an hour. Not surprisingly, quite a few came to grief. The winners are judged on general performance - and what a performance they all gave. For sheer excitement - it’s the greatest. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS No 2 gets ready for race. Same (2 shots).
