- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Eyes on the World. DESCRIPTION: The world through the camera’s eye. Some of the exhibits at the Photo Fair in Cologne. All over the world Movietone’s camera’s have recorded moments like these. Events that made history - or became part of it. Among the most dramatic actualities, the assassination of King Alexander of Serbia in 1934. The Hindenburg disaster, 1937. Molten lava from Vesuvius, destroyed all before it. The birth of the atom age. The space-age. It’s not often that news comes to the camera. At this recent air-crash near Movietone’s London Headquarters, our staffmen were first on the scene. One of them Lloyd Fraser made a brave but vain attempt to find the pilot. Captain Guy Watson’s body was recovered some hours later. SHOTLIST: Key scene. CU man putting shot (picture).
