Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Island Fire. DESCRIPTION: A view of the widespread heath fires that raged along a seven mile front in the Isle of Skye - the sort of hazard you’d only expect from a long, hot Summer. Months of extreme frost, combined with sunny days, has made the vegetation, especially dead grass, tinder dry. Hundreds of acres of valuable grass and forest ‘cover’ have been destroyed. SHOTLIST: Key scene. AS pan - coast with heath fire. CU oilot. AS fires along a 7-mile front (4 shots). All shots are aerial.
