MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Thousand Pound Wager!. DESCRIPTION: A Lotus won £1000 from German sports writer Richard von Frankenburg. He claimed that the Lotus which won the Formula Junior Race at Monza this year was hotted up beyond permitted limits. Officially vetted by German and Italian officials the car averaged 115 with the fastest lap more than 117 mph. Peter Arundell received £1000 - and a full apology. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
