Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Motor Cycle Racing. DESCRIPTION: Mini racing made its debut at the Tourist Trophy Meeting with the introduction of a 50 cc event. Among competitors, Mrs Swain, the first ever woman to ride in a TT race. The winner was Degner from West Germany, riding a Suzuki. Now to Brands Hatch, where the side-car race was one of the highlights on Whit Monday. Florian Camathias (in a BMW) was the winner. SHOTLIST: Mrs Swain on the starting grid. Start. Panning round with No 8 coming out of Druids. Group shot of riders in the race. Shot of winner No 8. Shot of flag. The winner is Degner from West Germany. Event Six - Side-car racing. Various shots taken at the South Bank Bend as the chairs come into it. Last shot is of No 7 in programme. The winner is Florian Camathias riding a BMW. Catherine Tickle is the passenger.
