- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Dogs Going Through Obedience Test. DESCRIPTION: The country came to town for another holiday attraction, the Hyde Park Sheep Dog Trials. Here’s Glen, being put through his paces by Mr Alan Jones from Wales. Mr Morgan from Worcestershire and his better half waiting their turn. And there are Messrs Brady and Logan from Northern Ireland. After gathering and driving the sheep into position, the dogs finally have the job of working them into the pen. Miss Jackson, a farmer’s daughter from Perthshire, gave a special demonstration with her dog Meg. SHOTLIST: Dogs on road showing Norwich. Dogs getting out of car. Dogs crossing road heel off lead. Close shot of certificate. Small dog pulling toy cart collecting for Dogs for the Blind. Close up of girl with a boxer. Group watching other dogs performing. Heel free following owner (curb drill). Dogs left on curb and then called by owner (straight recall). Dogs on curb as cat is pulled past them (none of them are interested). Dog starts to cross road and is told by owner to stop to allow car to pass. Dog picks out handkerchief of owner. Further obedience test leaving dogs in road.
