Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Shoot That Mountain. DESCRIPTION: It was no easy task to drive the Trans-Canada Highway through the treacherous Glacier National Park. Heavy snowfalls are the problem. They could avalanche down and bury the motorist alive. One safeguard was the erection of sheds, and lumps, called Dragon’s Teeth are yet another way of keeping the mountain snows off the road. There are men whose job it is to locate potential snow slides. As soon as they’ve spotted an avalanche in the making, they signal avalanche control who calls in the army. Their orders are to shoot it down. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV mountains. GV another. GV another. MS lorry up to mountain. MS inside of lorry. MS lorry into tunnel. MS through tunnel. LS skiers.
