Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Flyweight Worth Watching. DESCRIPTION: Jackie Bruce, Australia’s Flyweight champ, had met Rocky Gattelari before. Again, as on that occasion, Gattelari had the upper hand. After a compulsory count of eight, Bruce was still in a bad way, and his opponent moved in trying for the knockout. The title holder did his best to defend himself, but only the referee could put a stop to the onslaught. So, 20-year-old Gattelari gained the Australian title after only 5 professional bouts.
