- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flight to the Future (Colour). DESCRIPTION: The world-famous Farnborough Show opened in unlucky weather, but interest was none the less for that! A newcomer in the Beagle range offers luxury travel for top executives, another type in the Beagle pack was the Beagle-Auster Eleven. Training aircraft at the show included Jet Provosts, and the two-seater Hunter, an operational advanced trainer. Another advanced trainer, used by the Royal Air Force, was the two-seater Gnat. Among civil aircraft: the Handley Page Dart Herald. The Victor Bomber hardly needs an introduction! A spectacular free fall by six RAF instructors was a big thrill, and a Royal Navy contribution to this great show was formation flying by Number 800 Squadron of Scimitar strike-fighters. All these provide one of the finest examples of British Aircraft construction, and there’s plenty of that to be seen at Farnborough. SHOTLIST: Title. LS Handley Page 115. MLS same.
