MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Over the Alps By Balloon. DESCRIPTION: The Bernese Alps are not quite the sort of country one would care to inspect from a balloon. But Fred Dolder decided to try it. The trip was one of various celebrations recalling the first ascent of the Jungfrau, a hundred and fifty years ago. Fred eventually landed safely near Varese in Italy, in his balloon Bernina.
