MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cornwall’s New Life-Saver. DESCRIPTION: At Kilcobben, near the Lizard, a magnificent new lifeboat was ready for naming and launching. Helicoptering in, Prince Philip came to perform the ceremony. He named this 52-footer, the largest and latest type in existence, The Duke of Cornwall. Coxwain George Mitchell was the first of the new life-boat’s crew to be presented to His Royal Highness. He had a word with each of these sturdy and gallant seamen, their wives and families, too.
