- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Diary - Queen in Scotland. DESCRIPTION: One of the Queen’s engagements in Scotland was to open Britain’s first Lurgi plant for producing gas from low-quality coal. The plant is at Westfield, Fife, and six miles away is an open-cast mine, which Her Majesty inspected to see it in operation. The Palace of Holyrood House, Edinburgh, provided the setting for a garden party, given by Her Majesty and Prince Philip.
