Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hop Harvest in Derwent Valley. DESCRIPTION: Luckily, there’s no report of flying foxes in Tasmania’s Derwent Valley, where a bumper hop harvest has just been gathered. Maybe you didn’t know they grew beer in Australia! Indeed, it all looks like a hop-picking scene, somewhere in England. SHOTLIST: Title sequence. MS bines falling from trees into basket of the two men below. CU hands picking off the fruits from the bine. TS two children taking fruits off the bine branches. CU small child removing fruit. MS men on moving vehicle pulling down bine branches. MS men pulling down branches. MS vehicle with branches on reverses close to building with apparatus extending from it. MS man puts bines onto turning wheel. MS same. CU bines on conveyer belt. CU bines going round rollers. CU bines being stripped from hops by machines. CU same. CU same. MS barmaid filling glass behind bar. MS putting glass onto bar for customer (large man). MS man lifts glass up. CU man drinking from large glass.
