MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tiger Squadron. DESCRIPTION: RAF Fighter Command’s first squadron to be equipped with Lightnings is number seventy-four, known for many years as Tiger Squadron, and now based in Norfolk. The Lightnings carry air-to-air guided weapons called Firestreak. Squadron-Leader Howe is the first South African to command the squadron since Sailor Malan. Possibly the last manned fighters, these machines, in the hands of the Royal Air Force, are regarded as second to none. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV pan along line of Lightnings on runway.
