- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Downhill. DESCRIPTION: Sun, snow and the mountains of Switzerland were the marvellous setting for the Lauberhorn Trophy Ski races, near Wengen. Conditions were good for the men’s down-hill event, and the record for the run was broken during this meeting. Skiers from 14 countries were engaged in the contests. There was a series of falls at a spot known as the Austrian Hole, so-called because several Austrian experts fell here at a former meeting. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV snow covered mountainside.
