- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Prince Dines at Pinewood. DESCRIPTION: Kenneth More, Gary Cooper and Max Bygraves were some of the distinguished guests at Pinewood, where Reuben Mamoulian is directing Cleopatra. Mr Spyros Skouras was also present at the Kinematograph Renters’ Society dinner given for the Royal Naval Film Corporation, of which the Earl Mountbatten of Burma is President. The guest of the evening was His Royal Highness Prince Philip, who is Patron of the Royal Naval Film Corporation. The Prince had a chat with Mr Skouras, and presently, the whole company moved to a spectacular Cleopatra set for the dinner, followed by a speech from Prince Philip. His Royal Highness was naturally interested in the 20th Century Fox film Cleopatra, and he had a word with Stephen Boyd, who stars as Anthony. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
