MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Springboks in Form. DESCRIPTION: When the Springboks (in white shorts) met Cardiff before a crowd of 60,000 at Cardiff Arms Park, it was obvious that the South Africans posed a tough problem for the Welshmen. They were forced on to the defensive by the Springboks’ weight and power. The result was thirteen nil. SHOTLIST: Key scene (fade) GV players fighting for possession of ball. GV the Springboks attacking. GV Pelser dives across line to score a try. MCU crowds cheering. MS Lockyear scores with the conversion (5-0). MS Cardiff on the attack. MS same - player being tackled. LS crowd. MS Springboks attacking. MS to MLS Lockyear scores with penalty kick for the Springboks. GV Cardiff attack, player brought down near touch line. MS crowd. MS players crowding each other - player with ball lying on the ground. GV Roux kicks ahead and sprints for touch down but is barged off by Wells. MCU crowd. GV Lockyear makes in 13-0 with penalty kick.
