MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Miss Great Britain (Colour). DESCRIPTION: Morecambe is the place, where, at this season of the year, beauty goes on parade. Seen here are the finalists in the National Bathing Beauty Contest for the title of Miss Great Britain. The judges included Bob Monkhouse and Adam Faith. The winner was Eileen-Elizabeth Sheridan of Walton on Thames, Miss Great Britain of 1960. Not far away, at Blackpool, there is another sign of the season: it is the six-week Autumn season of The Lights, and people come from all over the country to enjoy them. Over 200 tons of equipment, including 75 miles of wiring and 350,000 lamps go to make up these famous and fascinating illuminations.
