Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visitors to Lahore. DESCRIPTION: Queen Farah smilingly led the way, when she and the Shah of Iran arrived on a visit to Lahore. After being received by the Governor of West Pakistan, the Queen presently drove off to the Lahore Girl Guides centre, where she accepted flowers and garlands in welcome. The feature of the occasion was the performance of traditional dances. Another engagement on the programme of the visit was a horse show with the parade of competitors riding past in salute. There was a ceremonial drive back, with the President of Pakistan, Field Marshal Ayub Khan. SHOTLIST: MS Shah and Queen Farah. MS same greeted by Governor. MS same.
