- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hong Kong Floods. DESCRIPTION: Landslide and fires, all this was the result of the torrential rains, the heaviest recorded in Hong Kong in almost half a century. Over 40 lives were known to have been lost, while the total injured and missing was formidable. Prompt measures were taken by the authorities to bring relief to the distressed.
