Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Turpin - Scrap Merchant. DESCRIPTION: Eight years ago, Randolph Turpin was on top of the world. Now, he works in a scrap yard at Leamington. Our pictures show, what a scrapper he was: here, for example, he’s disposing of Jean Stock of France, just one of many brilliant victories that put the British and European middle-weight champion in line of the World title. He won it from Sugar Ray Robinson, the same year (1951), only to lose it to him two months later. SHOTLIST: LS Randolph Turpin working in scrap yard. MS same with oxy-acetylene cutter. Closer same.
