Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Family Visit Ballet. DESCRIPTION: Arriving at the London Coliseum, were Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret with Princess Anne. They came to attend a gala matinee of ballet. The programme was widely representative and included many stars: Margot Fonteyn, seen with Michael Soames in a Pas de Deux, and the Prima Ballerina Alicia Markova. At the end of the performance, the dancers saluted the royal party, and afterwards, Dame Margot Fonteyn was presented. Alicia Markova talked with Princess Margaret.
