- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Windsor Marathon. DESCRIPTION: Earl Alexander of Tunis sent the competitors away on the Polytechnic Marathon run to Chiswick. There was extra-keen competition for the Sporting Life Trophy, and the 3A’s Championship. It would also help to decide the team for the Olympic Games. The outsider, CK Kemball, turned out to be the new champion, and he held the lead right through to Chiswick Stadium. 26 miles, 385 yards, in under 2 hours., 23 minutes. Arthur Keily was third last year, and the year before. And so he was again. The Title Holder, E Kirkup, only made 5th place. SHOTLIST: MS statue.
