Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hunt Cup Day at Ascot. DESCRIPTION: Royal Hunt Cup Day and a fair weather fashion show. the Queen and members of the Royal family were there, particularly interested in the Bessborough Stakes. Her Majesty’s 4 year old Agreement was favourite, and had set the pace. But the winner was Huegenot, putting Agreement in second place. Among the Hunt Cup field was the 17 year old Peter Boothman, riding his first Ascot race. He was on Amos, a 20-1 outsider, and rode him to a surprise victory by three quarters of a length.
