Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: To Sail for Britain. DESCRIPTION: She was ready for her launching: at Sandbank, on the Clyde. Lady Gore, wife of the Royal Yacht Squadron’s Commodore, named her, Sceptre: and sent her down, to the waters of Holy Loch. Sceptre’s to be the seventeenth challenger, for the America’s Cup; held by the United States for 107 years. Sceptre will be racing against Evaine, before being shipped, across the Atlantic.
