MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The State Visit to the Netherlands. DESCRIPTION: The reception given for the royal visitors by the Netherlands Government in the 13th Century Knights Hall at the Hague, was one of the brightest events. An occasion for meeting diplomats and ministers. Her Majesty looked at Holland’s art treasures, a highlight of her inspection must have been the painting of her great namesake, Queen Elizabeth the First. Aalsmeer is famous for its flower market. Her Majesty went to see it and also a Dutch Auction. At Delft, Her Majesty went out over the experimental pool; used in the planning of Europort, a new harbour being built near the Hook of Holland. A sparkling regal occasion for the final highlight: the two Queens at the Amsterdam Concert Hall, a picture which summed up the brilliance of the State visit. SHOTLIST: Top Shot procession.
