Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: St Lawrence Seaway. DESCRIPTION: The great project of the St Lawrence Seaway has many aspects, one of which is the deepening of the existing channels and canals. The plan is to provide a navigational passage twenty seven feet deep the whole length of the seaway:- from the Great Lakes to the Atlantic. Canada looks ahead to the time when ships four times the size of the present St Lawrence cargo-carriers, will take grain to the sea-ports and return with coal and iron.
