MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Channel Swim. DESCRIPTION: Into the sea near Cap Gris Nez, went the stalwart men and women off on the race organised by Billy Butlin. First to sight the famous White Cliffs on this side was 30 year old Greta Anderson of Denmark. She had done the crossing in 13 hours 53 minutes. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the cross channel race organised by Mr Billy Butlin. First person to arrive Miss Greta Anderson of Denmark reached Dover in 13 hours 53 mins. Men and women took part.
