- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: First German Sub to Be Commissioned. DESCRIPTION: The West German Navy’s first submarine, until last year, this submarine was a wreck at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. According to the Germans, U-Boat 2365 had been scuttled at the end of the war. But the Royal Air Force claim to have sunk her. She has been repaired and refitted and rechristened The Shark, to sail once more under the German flag. SHOTLIST: LS sub at quay. LS from quay crew lined up. HA Capt. Looschen speaking.
