MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Homage to Baden Powell. DESCRIPTION: 3,500 Boy Scouts and Girl Guides rallied at Nyeri, in Kenya to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Lord Baden-Powell. The salute was taken by Sir Richard Bevan. Twelve year old Ivor Franks of London, awarded the Cornwell Badge (the Scouts VC). Born without ears, he had undergone over thirty operations.
