MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Funeral of Earl of Athlone. DESCRIPTION: From Windsor Station escorted by detachments of the Life Guards, the Royal Horse Guards and the Queen’s Own Hussars, the coffin was borne in solemn procession towards St George’s Chapel. The Earl of Athlone, great uncle of Her Majesty the Queen, died at the age of nearly 83, after a lifetime of distinguished service to his country. SHOTLIST: Train arrives. Car leaves with VIPs. Guard presents arms. Cortege leaves station. Shots of the Life Guards etc. Procession to St Georges Chapel. CU of coffin. Various shots of the coffin being taken up the steps. Shots of the wreaths.
