- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Athletes Feted. DESCRIPTION: Stars of sport were entertained by the Variety Club of Great Britain in London. Mr Stanley Matthews CBE took a bow and so did Gold Medallist Judy Grinham. Margaret Edwards (a bronze medal swimmer) was there, also June Paul, the Olympic sprinter. Donald Campbell, the fastest man on water and Terry Spinks, the flyweight gold medal winner. Also at the Savoy, the Daily Express Sporting trophies were presented, Sir Walter Monckton went to do the honours. Chris Brasher had been elected Sportsman of the Year and Judy Grinham the Sportswoman of the Year.
