DESCRIPTION: It was in the House of Commons that the Government’s decision was announced: following Israel’s advance into Egypt, Sir Anthony said Britain and France have called upon Egypt and Israel to stop all warlike action, forthwith, and to withdraw their military forces to a distance of ten miles from the Canal.
