Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Malenkov Tour. DESCRIPTION: Battersea Power Station came in for a thorough inspection by Mr Malenkov, who later visited Harwell, the Atomic Research Establishment. From Harwell he went to call on Sir Anthony Eden, and stayed half an hour. SHOTLIST: Mr Malenkov, the Russian Minister of Power Stations, toured Battersea Power Station. He then went on to Harwell and was shown round by Sir John Cockcroft, from Harwell back to Downing Street, accompanied by Soviet Ambassador Malik. He called on Sir Anthony Eden at Number Ten. GV Battersea Power Station. Malenkov with Lord Citrine. CU board, Harwell pan to field with Sir John Cockcroft. CU Malenkov. Walking shots. Cars leave. SCU No 10 Downing Street. Malenkov arrives with Malik. Various shots outside No 10 Downing Street. Exterior.
