MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: River Warriors Hail Queen. DESCRIPTION: At Port Harcourt in Eastern Nigeria, the Queen and the Duke watched the war canoe Regatta. Later, some thirty miles from Enugu is the Oji River Leper Settlement. At Apapa Wharf at Lagos, a Guard of Honour from HMS ‘Magpie’. By unveiling a commemorative table, the Queen officially opened the new five million pound wharf extension. While at Lagos, Her Majesty held an Investiture, at which many who had served Nigeria well, were royally honoured. Finally, a visit to the Racecourse, where the royal visitors watched a display of traditional dancing. The occasion was the children’s rally. SHOTLIST: CU spectators (hats).
