- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Operation Snowdrop. DESCRIPTION: The Aircraft Carrier Glory was one of the warships taking part in Operation Snowdrop. The carrier was a base for naval helicopters which played a vital part in the delivery of food, fodder and medical supplies to the snow-bound North West of Scotland. SHOTLIST: The Glory in Lock Eriboll. Further shots of Urchin and Glory warships standing by to give whatever aid possible to the stricken Scots farmers inland. A helicopter takes off from the aircraft carrier. CU another helicopter being loaded with supplies. Now to a snow covered RAF airfield. Great difficulty shown in getting the Neptunes off the ground due to shocking icy conditions. Various shots of the loading of these aircraft with fodder. Aerial view of supplies being dropped. One interior of the RAF personnel being briefed.
