Summary

Hassett wins. England take the field. Sir Donald Bradman in press box. Morris & Hassett come out to bat. Hassett nearly caught. CU Statham bowling. Hassett hits to leg, Brown fields. Hutton & Brown converse. Brown (CU) bowling. Mr Menzies & Duke of Norfolk watching. CU Bedser bowling. Morris stumped by Evans. Harvey at wicket, just after LBW., walks off. Miller batting. Hassett scores his 100. Team drink refreshments. Spectators lay flat on their backs asleep. CU Wardle bowling. Hole caught. Benaud LBW., Miller walks off. Crowds (next day) Hassett comes out to bat.
