Various GV of fleets. MS Swedish cruiser, Gota Lejon. French cruiser, Montcalm. MS USA cruiser Baltimore. Dean of Canterbury on board small craft en route to the Sverdlov. Russian sailors come ashore. Various shots of foreign sailors. Foreign tars in streets. Queen boards Surprise. Queen receives with Duke foreign commanding officers aboard Surprise. Captain Rudakov shakes hands with Queen & Duke. Queen & Duke pose for photograph with foreign captains. Queen Mother & Princess Margaret board Surprise. Sir Winston Churchill boards Patricia, also aboard Lord Alexander, both wearing Trinity House uniforms. Surprise steams out with Victory in background. Crowds on the beaches of Southsea, Gosport, Portsmouth etc. GV fleet, & Surprise approaching. Fleets firing 21-gun salute. MS Vanguard. Queen & Duke in glass covered position passing in Surprise. Illustrious MS aircraft carrier. USSR cruiser, Sverdlov. Italian three-master, Anerigo Vespucci. MS Aircraft Carrier Illustrious with crew lining deck, giving three cheers. Cut-ins of Queen & Duke, and crews of ships giving three cheers. All ships were fully dressed. Helicopter Squadron, Dragonflies pass overhead, Queen watching. Squadron of Fireflys pass over. Queen’s barge alongside Vanguard. Queen comes aboard in evening dress accompanied by the Duke. Piped aboard (also bugles). Various shots of fleet lit up, also firework display (poor). Surprise all lit up.
