- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trooping the Colour. DESCRIPTION: Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret drove to the Trooping the Colour ceremony with Princess Anne and Prince Charles. Her Majesty the Queen rode to the ceremony on the police horse Winston. She was accompanied by Field Marshal the Duke of Edinburgh and the Duke of Gloucester. This year, the Escort to the Colour was provided by the First Battalion, the Grenadier Guards. At the end of the parade, The Queen rode back to Buckingham Palace at the head of the Guards. She took the salute at the Palace Gate and later appeared on the Balcony with other members of the Royal Family to receive a great ovation from the huge crowd gathered before the Palace. CU Queen & Duke outside palace gates taking salute. Cut-in palace balcony, Queen Mother, two kiddies, & Princess Margaret. Elevated GV crowds rush palace rails. Cut-ins royalty on balcony. Queen & Duke wave. Princess Anne makes a few faces. Crowds. Queen, Duke, etc. wave. Note - Commander Townsend is on the balcony with royal family.
