MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australia’s Newest Tennis Star. DESCRIPTION: At Kooyong (Victoria) the doubles final was a battle between Rosewall and Hoad and the more experienced pair Rose and Candy. Rosewall and Hoad played brilliant tennis to win the title. Rosewall met Rose in the Singles Final. Rosewall, playing like a champion, beat Rose in three straight sets to become Australia’s youngest-ever Singles champion at eighteen. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS.
