- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atlantic Queens in the News. DESCRIPTION: It was the Liner Queen Mary that brought Mr Churchill back from his visit to America and his holiday in Jamaica. The Prime Minister paused at our mike long enough to give a brief summing up. The Queen Elizabeth has had two fires on board, after the burning of the Empress of Canada, it is natural that the possibility of sabotage should be investigated. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. SCU Queen Mary. GV Queen Mary in dock. Interior of Verandah Grill, Mr Churchill seated several posed shots, including SCU. Churchill & wife, walk towards mike. Churchill says a few words about their holiday. Walk along platform onto train. The Cunarder train pulls out of shed, into camera & past. CU person (back view) reading the Daily Express. Fire aboard QE, person puts down paper, & tilt up to the ship in dry-dock. . Various shots of the ship during overhaul, decks being cleaned, ropes being cleaned, French polishing below deck, whitewashing ceiling. Various shots of activity during overhaul in the engine room. Back view person reading the Daily Mail, tilt up to the bows of Queen Elizabeth, to finish.
