MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soccer - Austria V England. DESCRIPTION: Before a large crowd in the Prater Stadium, in the Soviet sector of Vienna, England defeated Austria in the Soccer International. At the end of the game, English troops charged across the field of battle to congratulate the team. SHOTLIST: Cut story - MS play. Captains exchange flags. England (dark shirts) kick-off. General play. Lofthouse scores 1st goal for England. General play. Huber scores penalty for Austria. General play. Wright passes to Sewell who scores for England. Austria kick-off at half-time, which preceded by a goal by Dienst for Austria. Half-time, 2-2, general play. Lofthouse races down centre with ball, goalie comes out to save, Lofthouse kicks ball into net. British soldiers, rush onto field & chair England team, SCU Wright shouldered carried off field.
