Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Last Tribute to Marshal De Lattre De Tassigny. DESCRIPTION: After the religious service in Notre Dame, the State Funeral procession moved slowly through Paris to the Invalides. After his death, General de Lattre de Tassigny had been raised to the rank of Marshal of France. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Coffin being carried from Notre Dame. GV Church of Notre Dame. MS coffin through crowds. Elevated GV procession along Rue de Rivoli. Various cut-ins of procession shows CU baton being carried behind coffin. Elevated GV passing across to Les Invalides. SCU Eisenhower in procession. SCU (two shots) Montgomery. Several shots of regiments in marchpast passing the coffin, St Cyr regiment in marchpast. Spahis ride past. Royal Scots Fusiliers band & detachment of troops marching past.
