DESCRIPTION: The Princess and the Duke, driving from Buckingham Palace in an open carriage (in spite of persistent rain) received an ovation from Londoners all the way. As guests of honour of the City of London at a luncheon at Guildhall, they were received by the new Lord Mayor and Lady Boyce. The Prime Minister proposed the toast to the Princess.
