- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Channel Swimmers. DESCRIPTION: 20 competitors - thirteen men and seven women - entered for this year’s Daily Mail Channel Swim. Hamad of Egypt was the first to arrive, closely followed by Le Morvan of France. Brenda Fisher of Grimsby was the first woman home in record time. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS.
