Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blues Beat Americans. DESCRIPTION: Oxford and Cambridge v Harvard and Yale at the White City drew a crowd of 17,000. The 100 yard sprint was one of Oxford’s six victories. Their captain Dick Stacey winning the quarter mile by seven yards from Grutzner of Harvard. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Elevated GV crowds, race in progress in background. Crowd shot. Start of 100 yards sprint. Finish of race, won by Robin Pinnington - No 4. Start of 880 yards & pan of same. Berman - Harvard takes lead & Robinson - Oxford tries to over take but falls just before finishing line. Start of 440 yards & pan, Stacey exerting himself & winning from Grutzner. Cut-in crowds cheering. Relay race, start & several change overs. Finish of race, won by Blues. Cut-ins of crowds watching.
