- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: President’s Daughter in Britain. DESCRIPTION: President Truman’s daughter Margaret arrived at Southampton, Movietone was there to greet her and to get an interview. Her visit to the Tower was an early engagement and, by way of contrast, modern British achievement was on view at the South Bank Exhibition. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV America docking Southampton. SCU Hilton Craig interviewing Miss Truman, is your visit for any reason, just vacation, no business, wanted to see England etc. etc. At Tower of London, walking round with Colonel Carkeet-James, resident governor & Chief Yeoman Warder. Looks at spot where Anne Boleyn was executed. At South Bank, walking round admiring buildings etc. Mingling with the crowds there. Cut-ins of cameramen shooting while Miss Truman is being interviewed. GV Skylon.
