MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tenth Anniversary of Jet Power. DESCRIPTION: A dinner was recently held at a London Hotel in honour of the first ten years of Jet Powered Flight in the Free World. Guests included Marshal of the Royal Air Force Lord Trenchard, Lord Brabazon, Sir John Slessor Chief of the Air Staff and Major General Johnson, commanding the American Air Force in Britain. Mr Sopwith, one of the hosts, presided and presented a momento to Air Commodore Sir Frank Whittle. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS Gloster jet E28/39. GV gathering seated at tables.
