Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Varsity Crews on Tideway. DESCRIPTION: With both crews now at work on the tideway, interest in the Boat Race grows keener. Movietone were out on the water watching them at practice and we persuaded Mr Garton, the Dark Blue coach to give his view. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. SCU Cambridge crew in their boat. Cambridge crew take off their jerseys. Cambridge crew begin to row - paddling. Cambridge crew coming in towards shore. Slip-pan - Mr Carver - Yale (cox), stands beside boat & gets in. Oxford pull away, following shot of them rowing, cut-in close-ups of the oars dipping into water. Hilton Craig approaches Oxford launch & asks Mr Garton, the dark blue coach. Garton says he hopes to win.
