Trumpeters - MS - on turrets playing (silent). Panning shot - Sir Gordon MacMillan, new Governor walks onto esplanade. GV of general salute onto esplanade. GV of general salute by troops. Crowds seated around parade ground. CU Sir Gordon saluting. Lord Lyon King of Arms - back view - reading Royal Commission. Lord Lyon hits on door of Castle, door opened. Lyon walks away, into camera. Key of Castle escorted to New Governor, key on cushion. Marchpast of troops, several shots. Troops entering castle, followed by Lord Lyon & New Governor. Inside Castle grounds.
